Business Profile

My journey at the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) started way back in October 2021 as I was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Authority; an independent, proactive and trustworthy supervisory body. I am catalysing the national agenda for responsible and human-centric development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the enabling of cybersecurity across industry. Enhancing the successes achieved during the initial years of the MDIA, I am spearheading the strategic direction of digital innovation in Malta. The digital sector holds a prominent position in the Maltese economy and my role is to ensure its continuous and sustainable growth by maintaining technical security in the marketplace and being creative in response to changing business models. I also hold a Master of Science Degree in HR and Training and currently I am reading for a Doctorate in Business Administration.
