I rose through the ranks of the family business, gradually working my way from the bottom up to the leadership position.
In the process I have seen the business transform in two different dimensions. Firstly, in changing from a family business to a corporate organisation with rigorous compliance and governance standards. Secondly, shifting from a furniture manufacturer with strong protection from import competition to a fully integrated organisation competing successfully without any import protection.
The journey was challenging and extremely intuitive and in the end it delivered a strong organisation which, while respecting its founding legacy, has adjusted to face the challenges of the digital economy where everyone is a competitor and clients have endless choices for sourcing their requirements.
My satisfaction is seeing different generations of clients keeping Fino as their trusted furniture supplier.
