After qualifying as a Lawyer in 1995, I was engaged as an Associate in one of Malta’s largest law firms. I branched out on my own in 1998 and participated in partnerships that developed into Mifsud & Mifsud Advocates, which I co-founded with my brother, Cedric, in 2007.
I possess vast experience in civil and commercial litigation and, as a result, have advised individuals, corporate structures and public institutions, whether in Malta or abroad, on a wide range of legal issues
As Advocate for Legal Aid, I assisted clients in criminal trial by juries and was among the lawyers having the widest experience in criminal trials.
I was elected Mayor five times between 1994 and 2013 and once as President of the Central Region, in 2009. I sat as Member on the Committee of Regions in Brussels and participated in a number of EU committees on a variety of subjects between the time Malta joined the EU and 2013.
I am responsible for the civil and commercial law practice within the firm. We usually build teams of professionals when we are entrusted with a project and request for litigation cases. I am also the firm’s accredited agent at Identity Malta and advise and represent clients in the various immigration schemes offered. I give advice to a number of major companies in Malta, apart from sitting on the board of directors of several Maltese companies.
In addition, I am a Shareholder and Director of Aegis Corporate Services Ltd, a corporate service provider licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
