Yakof Agius is the Founding Partner of Yakof Agius & Associates, advising ultra-high-net-worth clients on investment migration and residency strategy, with a particular focus on Malta pathways including Citizenship by Merit, Citizenship by Descent, and the Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP).

Mr Agius also founded the first Investment Migration® platform of its kind, designed to professionalise access, due diligence readiness, and delivery standards in the sector.

In 2017, Mr Agius joined the Government agency responsible for managing the citizenship by investment programme as Chief Officer for Risk & Compliance, where he redesigned the programme’s due diligence framework – work that helped set a benchmark for industry screening standards.

Mr Agius authored the 3rd edition of the Malta IIP Handbook and developed the industry’s first Risk Assessment Framework. His advisory work remains intentionally limited to ensure direct, hands-on attention, grounded in experience across both private implementation and public oversight within the RCBI industry.
