The Labour Party won a five-seat majority in the 2026 General Election, receiving 51.77 per cent of all first count votes, while the PN received 44.68 per cent.
The gap between the two parties stood at 21,721 votes.
Of the candidates elected, a number were elected on two districts. In such cases, a candidate would need to renounce one of their seats. Casual elections be held to fill those empty slots, and a gender corrective mechanism expected to come into effect later.
The election saw a boost in female representation this year, with 10 women being elected when compared to just 5 in 2022.
