Keith Laferla is Joint-Managing Director of Laferla, one of Malta’s leading insurance providers, and as a Director of Digimed, a pioneering telemedicine ecosystem developed locally.

At Laferla, Mr Laferla oversees the Health and Life Insurance division, which holds a substantial and growing share of the local market. The company is currently the market leader in expatriate health insurance and ranks among the top three providers of employee benefits schemes in Malta, including Group Health, Group Life, and Corporate Pension Plans.

"My main focus lies in business and product development, ensuring that Laferla remains at the forefront of service delivery and innovation," Mr Laferla says. He also drives growth across other core areas of the business, including personal and commercial insurance, as well as strategic projects – particularly in creating bespoke insurance solutions for high-net-worth individuals.

Most recently, Laferla has launched a suite of digital tools to enhance the customer experience, including a first-of-its-kind fintech app that simplifies insurance management, claims tracking, and online payments. "These innovations reflect the company’s commitment to leveraging technology to make insurance more accessible and user-friendly," Mr Laferla adds. 

At Digimed, Mr Laferla is one of three founding Directors who transformed a concept into a market-leading digital health platform. Digimed empowers individuals and families to manage their personal health data securely, access online consultations, and connect seamlessly with doctors and pharmacies within a fully integrated telemedicine ecosystem.
