Business Profile

I am the Joint-Managing Director of Laferla, a leading Maltese insurance provider, as well as a Director of Digimed, a revolutionary telemedicine ecosystem built in Malta.

At Laferla, together with my macro responsibilities as joint MD, I lead Laferla’s health and life insurance operation, which enjoys a considerable and ever-growing market share in Malta. Today, Laferla has grown to be the leading provider for expat health insurance as well as a ‘Top 3’ provider of employee benefits insurance schemes (including Group Health, Group Life, and Corporate Pension Schemes) in the Maltese islands.

My main technical duties include business and product development, ensuring that Laferla remains at the forefront of the market with respect to customer service and product offering.

My other duties at Laferla include business development on other lines of business, such as personal lines and business insurance, as well as handling special projects and investments. I also have a special interest in insurance packages for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals.

At Digimed, I am one of three founding Directors that took the product from an idea to a market-leading, best in class telemedicine ecosystem that democratises personal health data for individuals and families, whilst providing access to digital medical consultations and linking patients, doctors and pharmacies to create a comprehensive digital health ecosystem.
