At the age of 18, Cristina Balaceanu was offered a part-time job in one of the leading leasing companies in Italy, Unicredit Leasing. It was a dream start for her and she was eventually hired on a full-time basis after graduating from high school.

“The curiosity and eagerness to learn helped me to move up the ladder and, during my six years with the company, I got promoted to Financial Control Executive,” she recalls.

Ms Balaceanu moved to Malta in 2012, alone, without a job secured and with very limited knowledge of English. “It was very challenging, to say the least, but I was determined to succeed. I worked from the bottom up and, eventually, I could start and work on my own businesses,” she admits.

Her experience as a Business Coach started in 2018. It was just a one-off task she proposed to do but, eventually, this task became a long-term practice and as the results emerged, she had clients asking for support and that made her continue. She, therefore, followed several high-level courses within the field of business coaching to get educationally qualified.

“As a Business Coach, my main target is always to take the business from where it is now to where the business owner wants it to be. Although the target might be similar with each individual client, the process differs. In spite of this, my primary aim is to help my clients clarify the vision of their business and set the basis for upscaling,” Ms Balaceanu explains.

Her second business revolves around printing, a firm by the name of Floordita, offering digital printing consultancy and a wide range of customised products or gadgets for branding, business advertising and events.

In addition, she is also a Property Sales Associate on behalf of RE/MAX Malta. In her present role as a senior agent, she offers a vast choice of services such as market valuation of a property, exclusive listing, statistics and market trends as well as other tools available from a professional real estate agent.
