Simon Pullicino on Monday shared that he has been appointed General Counsel at MeDirect Bank Malta.

Throughout his career, he has gained over 12 years of experience in a number of positions, with a focus on banking and finance. Prior to his new role, he worked as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Malta-based AgriBank plc for more than a year.

Dr Pullicino also spent over 11 years at Mamo TCV Advocates, during which time he worked as Senior Associate, focusing on banking and finance, corporate, restructuring and insolvency, and also as Partner. While he was working there, he also had a three-month stint as a Part-Time University Lecturer in Insolvency Law & Corporate Rescue for the Master of Arts in Financial Services courses at University of Malta.

He holds a Master of Laws in European & Comparative Law from University of Malta, and over the years has specialised in corporate insolvency law, having authored a number of publications on the subject.

Headquartered in Sliema, MeDirect Bank is a Pan-European bank that operates as a ‘one-stop shop’ for all types of investments and savings. It has steadily grown over the years to have over 106,000 customers, with employees working from different parts of the world.
