Bank of Valletta has officially received regulatory approval for the appointment of Izabela Banas as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The bank had announced her appointment back in March 2021, following the January retirement of former BOV CFO Elvia George. In the interim, Marisa Abdilla had taken up the role.

About Izabela Banas

Ms Banas has worked in various senior positions within the finance teams of a number of renowned international organisations, including General Electric Company, Elster Group, Willis Group and Credit Suisse Group. Prior to joining Bank of Valletta, she occupied the position of CFO – EMEA Private Banking and Global Private Banking COO at HSBC Group, London UK.
