Captain Andrea Burlo has retired from KM Malta Airlines, concluding a career spanning 26 years in the cockpit.
Having accumulated over 17,000 hours of flight time, Mr Burlo’s final flight saw him take the left-hand seat on an Airbus A320neo (9H-NEB) for a rotation to Vienna.
He was previously part of Air Malta’s roster of pilots before the airline ceased operations and was replaced by KM Malta Airlines.
His retirement comes at a time of transition for KM Malta Airlines, which is set to see at least 10 senior pilots retire this year.
