The Project Management Institute (PMI) Malta Potential Chapter has launched its 2025 calendar, unveiling a series of initiatives designed to support project managers and professionals in the field.

PMI Malta President Clayton Axisa described the organisation’s journey so far as a collaborative effort, emphasising that its progress would not be possible without the engagement of members and the wider community.

“Your feedback is inspiring and motivates me and the board to continue aiming towards our North Star – advancing the profession here in Malta together. It’s a journey that would not be possible without you, and we are incredibly grateful to have you with us in this initiative,” he stated.

The newly announced calendar includes virtual and in-person events, such as Power Skills workshops, certification deep dives, skills gap campaigns, and the launch of the Presichats podcast.

The PMI Malta Potential Chapter was established last year with the aim of providing project management professionals with networking and development opportunities.

In August 2024, Mr Axisa highlighted the importance of formalising project management skills, stating that many managers and leaders engage in project management without recognising it as such.

“At the time, Malta did not have an official PMI chapter, which meant local professionals lacked a dedicated platform for support and growth,” he said. The launch of the local chapter, which is still in the process of full formation, seeks to change that by offering resources and training tailored to Malta’s project management landscape.

Mr Axisa stressed that the organisation is focused on maximising project success, with a structured business plan aimed at fostering professionalism, building relationships, and enhancing knowledge.
