"As a paediatric dentist, it is my passion to help children cultivate a lifetime of great oral health"

Business Profile

After graduating as a dentist at the University of Malta in 1997, I furthered my studies at the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, where I obtained a master’s degree in Paediatric Dentistry. I worked at the Edinburgh Dental Institute and obtained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Camilleri Dental Medical Clinic, where I am a Partner, is one of Malta’s longest standing groups of family practices. Established in 1960, it has evolved into one of the country’s leading private specialist dental practices and prides itself in maintaining high standards of work in a fully modernised environment. As a paediatric dentist, my practice philosophy involves providing compassionate, quality care that is unique to each child in a fun and welcoming environment. Providing excellent dental care for children from infancy through to adolescence, including those with special needs, I enable my patients to attain and maintain optimum oral health throughout their lifetime. I offer dental treatment for apprehensive children under inhalation sedation and regularly provide comprehensive dental treatment under general anaesthesia in a private hospital setting for patients who cannot cope with dental treatment in a clinic setting. One of my special fields of interest is trauma to anterior teeth, and I cannot further stress the importance of early visits to a dentist following an accident that involves damage to the teeth. I have been the representative of the Dental Association of Malta as the EU/International Liaison Officer for the past 12 years, and regularly attend meetings of the Council of European Dentists, which is a European association that represents over 340,000 dentists across Europe. Its objective is promoting the interests of the dental profession in the EU by monitoring EU political and legislative developments that have an impact on the dental profession and lobbying European institutions to serve the legal and political interests of dentists.
