GTG announced the appointment of J.J. Galea and Neil Gauci as Associates.

Dr Gauci is an Advocate at GTG, advising clients on civil and commercial dispute resolution and representing them before the Maltese Courts, with a particular interest in property law and the intersection between traditional proprietary concepts and emerging technologies. He also assists and represents clients in the financial services and gaming sectors in contentious and regulatory matters.

Dr Galea has a keen interest in Intellectual Property Law, Gaming Law and Technology Law, particularly FinTech, Data Protection Law and Cybercrime. He joined GTG as a Legal Apprentice in 2021, graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2023, later obtained a Master of Advocacy, and was admitted to the Maltese Bar in 2025.

“Investing in people remains central to GTG's ability to support clients across an increasingly dynamic legal, regulatory and business landscape,” said the law firm in a statement.

Commenting on the appointments, Ian Gauci, Managing Partner at GTG, said: "Dr Galea and Dr Gauci represent the kind of talent we are proud to develop at GTG. Watching them progress from interns to Associates has been immensely rewarding. Their appointments reflect the hard work, professionalism and commitment they have demonstrated throughout their journey with the firm. I look forward to seeing them continue to grow and contribute to GTG's future."
