GasanMamo Insurance has confirmed that it is relocating its head office from Gżira to new premises in Qormi, following plans published last month to redevelop its existing headquarters into a hotel.
In a notice sent to clients, the company said its new head office will be located at 84A, Mill Street, Qormi, with full operations commencing from Monday, 13th July.
The transition will require the temporary closure of the Gżira office from 2pm on Thursday, 9th July, and throughout Friday, 10th July. Telephone services will also be unavailable during part of the move.
Despite the relocation, the company said its Gżira premises will continue operating as a branch, while all other branches will remain open throughout the transition.
The move comes around three weeks after plans were published on the Planning Authority website proposing the conversion of the current GasanMamo head office in Gżira into a three-star hotel.
The application (PA 03852/26) proposes the redevelopment of the site into The Corner Hotel, a 151-room, 10-storey hotel featuring a rooftop pool and bar.
