Ian Portelli joined TradeMalta as a Trade Promotion Senior Executive in July 2025, where he supports the internationalisation of Malta-based businesses.

“My role involves the planning, coordination, and execution of trade promotion activities and events aimed at enhancing the visibility and international market presence of our clients,” Mr Portelli explains.

This position calls for excellent communication and administrative skills, a deep understanding of global trade dynamics, and a strong commitment to the internationalisation of Malta-based enterprises. With an energetic and driven character, Mr Portelli brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to my work, focused on helping businesses unlock global opportunities and achieve sustainable growth.

In parallel with his professional role, Mr Portelli is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Economics, that further strengthens his analytical capabilities and strategic insight.
