The highly anticipated MICHELIN Guide Malta has now been launched bringing with it a first-time record for the island, a restaurant with two stars.
The guide features a total of 40 restaurants across Malta and Gozo. In a first for Malta, the MICHELIN has awarded a Maltese restaurant with two stars, while six restaurants were awarded with one MICHELIN star, and five restaurants made it onto the Bib Gourmand list. The rest form part of the prestigious MICHELIN Guide Malta 2024.

MICHELIN stars recognise the best restaurants across the world, with each establishment being able to receive anywhere from one to three stars at one time. This honour is granted for a year after which point inspectors re-assess the restuarants. The guide first arrived in the country in 2020.
