As Head of Tax, Regulatory, and Compliance at Grant Thornton, he leads a dynamic team serving clients from high-net-worth individuals to NASDAQ-listed companies, developing cross-border regulatory and tax planning strategies.

He also leads Grant Thornton Malta’s IT and Digital Transformation team, leveraging advanced technology to create robust, future-ready compliance frameworks.

Dr Pisani’s commitment to industry development extends to key roles in Malta's financial services sector, where he serves on the Malta Financial Services Advisory Council steering committee and as Vice President of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, contributing to strategic growth initiatives.

As an author, digital finance specialist, and lecturer at the University of Malta, he combines legal expertise with a passion for financial technology to explore how digitalisation can transform traditional financial systems into more sustainable and collaborative economic models that promote inclusive growth.

Dr Pisani holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Law and International Relations, a Master’s in Financial Services, and a Doctorate in Laws from the University of Malta.

He has also served as Director at Lend Lease International since 2007.
