Stephanie Fabri, an economist specialising in strategic management and public policy, has been appointed Associate Professor within the Department of Business and Enterprise Management at the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy at the University of Malta.

Dr Fabri has been a full-time academic at the University of Malta since 2019. Her academic and professional contributions span both the public and private sectors, where she has been actively involved in various Government-led projects and commissioned research for private sector entities.

She read for her PhD at the University of Warwick, where her research explored strategic management in British companies. Her dissertation applied mathematical models commonly used in Artificial Intelligence – specifically fuzzy-logic methods – to the social sciences. Prior to this, she obtained an MSc in Public Sector Economics from the University of York and earned her undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Malta.

Dr Fabri currently sits on the boards of a number of public and private institutions, including the Malta Stock Exchange plc, the Environment and Resources Authority, the Malta Fiscal Advisory Council, IZI Finance plc, and Epic Communications Ltd.
