As the head of the tax, regulatory, and compliance practice at Grant Thornton, my team and I handle a wide range of clients, including private clients, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and NASDAQ listed companies, across various industry sectors on cross-border regulatory, compliance, and tax planning engagements.
In addition to my role at Grant Thornton, I am also heavily involved in the financial services industry in Malta. I am proud to be a member of the steering committee of the national Malta Financial Services Advisory Council, which is responsible for implementing a ten-year strategic plan for the industry. I am also Vice President of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, having previously served as the Institute's President and chaired its Financial Services Regulated Business Committee. From 2018 to 2021, I was also a member of the board of governors of FinanceMalta from 2018 to 2021.
As a lawyer by profession, I am passionate about exploring the latest digitalisation opportunities in finance. In fact, I am a published author, experienced digital finance specialist, and lecturer at the University of Malta, where I actively teach and research how digitalistion can lead to a more sustainable way of living through a collaborative economy.
