A former Corporate Finance Manager at Bank of Valletta plc, Joe Spiteri was appointed Maypole Group CEO in July 2017.

“I started my working career with Bank of Valletta plc where, for close to 30 years, I held posts specialising in corporate finance and investment management. I was involved with the business community in most business sectors, working closely with company directors, CEOs and CFOs on ambitious projects which have since matured into fruition,” he recounts.

His banking days were followed with a three-year stint as franchise owner with the Maypole Group, a period Mr Spiteri described as having been very important as he gained a lot of first-hand experience as the owner of a highly successful business.

"When I joined Maypole as CEO, I partnered with a committed management team and a workforce of dedicated employees, to the constant growth of a successful enterprise by inspiring confidence, building consensus and creating trust,” he says.
