An accountant by profession, Charles Xuereb started his career as a qualified accountant with one of the Big Four firms, followed by a 22-year spell with Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. (Farsons). There, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer between 2005 and 2017, during which time he also sat on the Group Executive Board and on the board of a number of subsidiaries.
“In 2017, I was appointed CEO of Trident Estates plc, a group of companies originally forming part of Farsons that was carved out into a separate entity and listed on the Malta Stock Exchange in January 2018, to take over a group of companies originally forming part of Farsons."
Trident Estates plc is a property investment company that owns, directly or indirectly through subsidiary companies, manages, acquires, develops and re-develops property for rental and investment purposes.
The company has four subsidiaries: Trident Park Ltd, Neptune Properties Ltd, Mensija Catering Company Ltd and Sliema Fort Company Ltd.
The Trident Group has two major real estate projects to implement in the near and medium term: the Trident Park Project and Trident House.
"In my tenure as CEO, I oversaw a €66 million investment in Trident Park, a green office campus within the Central Business District," Mr Xuereb tells WhosWho.mt.
He also sits on the Board of Administrators of the Central Business District Foundation, and serves as President of the Malta Association of Credit Management.
