Tektraco has announced the passing of its founder and long-standing leader, Ing. Victor Sciberras, describing him as a visionary whose entrepreneurial spirit shaped the company from its earliest days.

In a statement shared on Facebook, the company said: “Beyond his remarkable professional achievements, he will be remembered for his unwavering good nature, kindness, and the genuine care he showed to each and every member of our team.”

It added that his absence leaves an “irreplaceable void.”

Ing. Sciberras was part of one of Malta’s first graduating engineering cohorts. After two decades working with a major telecommunications company, he felt ready to channel his experience and technical insight into his own venture. This led him to found Tektraco together with a fellow engineer and two entrepreneurs.

In its early years, the company operated through two identities: Itec, which handled engineering projects in Malta, and Tektraco, which focused on opportunities in Libya. The two strands later merged into the single Tektraco brand, setting the stage for decades of expansion and diversification.
