Business Profile

I am an entrepreneur with interests in events, tourism, entertainment and market research. I act as the executive director of MYeventplanner, a leading corporate event planning company; Merchandise Malta; one of Malta's largest branded merchandise and printing suppliers; and TurnkeyExpos, a global expos company that services both expo organisers and end clients around the world. All companies have offices in Malta and Cyprus, and have satellite presence on each continent.

I am a hands-on event producer with a personal history of planning large scale events ranging from expos to content-oriented conferences, festivals, international networking events and corporate trips. Destinations I have organised and produced large-scale events in include the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Spain, Netherlands, Serbia, Cyprus, Canada, Sardegna, Italy, Dubai, Brazil, the Philippines and Singapore.

I hold a PhD with a focus on international events and event destination marketing from Bournemouth University, UK, and serve as a consultant to international clients as well as a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. I am also the author and co-author of several academic papers, event reports and conference presentations and proceedings presented across the globe. My main areas of study are international event tourism, destination management and event attendance motivators.
