I am Julian Diacono, Cluster Commercial Director for Hilton in Malta, with over 36 years of experience in the local hospitality industry. My career has taken me through leadership roles at top hotel brands and local tourism industry entities including Corinthia, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Westin, Malta International Airport, Malta Hotels Restaurant Association, and the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

Since joining Hilton in 2004, I have gone from overseeing sales functions to driving commercial operations, first across the Hilton Malta and now both of our Maltese properties, focusing on revenue management, sales, and marketing.

My approach is very much people-focused and strategic – driving growth by ensuring our teams can deliver exceptional guest experiences. I have been involved in the expansion of our portfolio, including the launch of DoubleTree by Hilton in Qawra. As a team, we champion innovation and sustainability across our operations.

For me, hospitality is about creating meaningful experiences through a high level of service, strong personal relationships, and adaptability. Every role I have held has been a step forward in building a culture of excellence and long-term success.
