In January, the luxurious French patisserie finally confirmed that it would be opening its doors in Malta. Sightings by different individuals and posts on social media had confirmed that it would be opening at The Point, in Sliema.

Despite the announcement earlier this year, there was no indication as to when the brand would be opening to the public.

However, on Monday (today) Ladurée published a staff recruitment notice, hinting at opening in the near future.

The brand is on the lookout for people to fill different positions namely an Assistant Manager, Supervisors, Baristas, Chef de Partie and a Logistics Helper, among others.

The recruitment post was shared across Ladurée Malta’s different social media platforms, as well as by businesswoman Diane Izzo, who is also CEO of Dizz Group, the company behind the French brand's addition to Malta.

In 2022, WhosWho.mt, had exclusive rendred plans for Malta's Laduree flagship store

In 2022, WhosWho.mt reported that the French brand would be setting up shop in Malta. This had followed earlier reports that it was coming to Malta in 2019, when Testa Catering Concepts had signed a 10-year franchise agreement.

According to sources, the local company is no longer behind the agreement.

The famous brand was established in 1862 and is a French manufacturer and retailer of confectioneries. In particular, it is known for its double-decker macaron.

Apart from its outlets in Paris, France, the brand can be found in different European countries, North and Central America, Asia, and Africa.
