Malta Communications Authority (MCA) on Wednesday (today) bid farewell to employee Donio Formosa, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 46.

“Donio was more than just a colleague; he was a beacon of kindness, dedication, and strength. His warm smile, unwavering commitment, and positive spirit brightened our workplace every day,” the MCA stated.

Mr Formosa had worked at the MCA for over 17 years, being tasked with roles such as radiocommunications equipment licensing and radio frequency interference and monitoring investigations.

The authority said that as it mourns his passing, it is also time to “celebrate the beautiful memories he leaves behind.”

The MCA extended its deepest condolences and offered its support to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. “May you find comfort in knowing that Donio was cherished and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him,” it continued.

“Rest in peace, dear friend. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your memory will love on in our hearts forever,” the MCA concluded.

Mr Formosa’s funeral ceremony will take place at the Qrendi Parish Church at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
