Tumas Group has announced that Ray Sladden shall transition from his role as Group Finance Director to head the Group’s Treasury function.

Mr Sladden joined Tumas Group in 1998, and has played a leading role in the group’s financial affairs for the better part of three decades.

He will remain an executive director of several Tumas Group entities.

In light of the transition, Tumas Group has appointed Ian Bonello as its new CFO.

Mr Bonello joined the group’s Corporate Office in 2024, following his departure from his previous role at the Dolmen Hotel, one of Tumas Group’s hospitality subsidiaries.

Since then, the group said, he has effectively undertaken his new responsibilities while also managing the conclusion of duties related to his former position.

Mr Bonello brings substantial experience from prior finance roles and, over the past year, has gained valuable insight into the group’s finance function.

“This exposure positions him well to lead the financial operations of the group going forward.”

Mr Bonello holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Malta, the Professional Qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Leicester. He is a Certified Public Accountant warrant holder and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Malta Institute of Accountants.
