Kirsty Muscat has been named Global Prize Winner after securing first place worldwide in the Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) examination during the December 2024 session of the ACCA examination scheme.

Ms Muscat received the prestigious award from Mark Anthony Bugeja and Maria Cauchi Delia, President and CEO of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA), alongside Andreia Stanciu, Head of ACCA Southern Europe, and Chryso Iasonos, Business Development Manager at ACCA.

Expressing her gratitude upon receiving the accolade, Ms Muscat remarked: "I am truly honoured to have achieved an ACCA Global Prize, which is a testament to the power of dedication and hard work. Although the journey can be challenging, it is definitely possible through consistent practice and surrounding yourself with the right support system. The ACCA qualification opens doors to a wide range of opportunities, offering a clear pathway to a successful career."

MIA’s President and CEO commended Ms Muscat’s remarkable achievement, describing her success as a source of inspiration for aspiring accountants in Malta and a testament to the exceptional talent within the local profession.
