Hudson Group’s Hudson Foundation has recently launched an eco-friendly initiative by planting olive trees in Park tal-Majjistral, Mellieħa.

For this project, the foundation worked together with Park tal-Majjistral to cover the costs of an irrigation system that will nurture each tree, thus ensuring their livelihood.

Additionally, the foundation will also replace plants that do not thrive. So far, it has planted 350 plants, with plans to plant a minimum of 1,000 trees over the coming 26 months.

Hudson Foundation has also provided park rangers with Columbia-branded apparel and footwear.

The project seeks to contribute towards a greener future and builds on the foundation’s pillar of supporting the environment. Together with this, it also supports initiatives related to safeguarding animals and children.

Majjistral Park spans the coastal area from Golden Bay to Il-Prajjet and Ix-Xagħra l-Ħamra in the northwest of Malta. It became a designated national park in 2007. The park is renowned for its stunning coastal views and diverse wildlife, and provides a recreational haven for families and nature enthusiasts.

The planting initiative was actively executed by the staff, senior management members, Directors, and Chief Executives of Hudson Group.

The foundation stated that it “actively aligns its initiative with environmental dedication, aiming to be present and safeguard the environment for future generations”.

Hudson Foundation was asset up in 2022 with the intention to give back to society and help provide a “voice to the voiceless”.
