This week, Malta’s legal and business community was stunned by the sudden loss of Keith Micallef, Chief Financial Officer at Ganado Advocates.
A “loyal and integral” member of the firm for the past 28 years, Ganado Advocates describes him as an “exemplary man – genuine, kind, humble and always had such positive words for all."
Writing on social media, Conrad Portainer, Partner at Ganado Advocates paid a touching tribute to Mr Micallef, saying “farewell gentle colleague and friend. We will miss your unassuming smile.”
In its statement paying tribute to its long-serving employee, Ganado Advocates gave condolences to his family during the difficult time, and mourned the tragic loss: “The firm did not only lose a senior member of its management team, but also a true gentleman and friend."
“He led our finance operations with passion, integrity and energy. He gave commitment and inspiration to his staff and to others who had the pleasure to work with him. He contributed a lot to the development and successes of the firm.”
Tributes also came in from water polo team Neptunes WPSC, who said Mr Micallef, who was the grandson of team legend Joe Albanese, was “an ardent supporter”.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this difficult time. Rest In Peace dearest Keith.”
