Heading the TMT Law Department, Antonio Ghio has, for the past two decades, focused on ICT law issues, seeking solutions to the constant struggle between law and technology, inside and outside courtrooms.

“A lecturer in ICT law and cybercrime at the University of Malta, I am a former Chairman of the Malta Communications Authority and an EU Digital Champion for Malta, Founding Member and President of the Malta IT Law Association and a Fellow of the European Law Institute,” he explains.

Probably the oldest law firm in Malta, Fenech & Fenech Advocates can be traced back to 1891 when the late Constantino Fenech started his legal practice as a solicitor. It saw a rapid expansion in the mid-1980s in the areas of international law, such as maritime law, ship and asset finance, corporate finance, investments and securities law, corporate law, merges and acquisition as well as international tax planning and the use of Maltese corporate and trust vehicles for the more rational structuring of business and financing activities in international operations. It is now a full-service firm, recognised as a leader in a number of areas including shipping and maritime law, international trade, financial services, TMT law and intellectual property.
