A Public-Private Partnership set up by the Government and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry in 2019, Tech.mt strives to promote the country as a centre for innovative technologies.

Founded on the key priority fields of technology and innovation, Tech.mt not only aims to elevate Malta’s status as a quality tech provider on both a local and international platform but also strives to act as the interlinking force between the Government, industry and academia.

To realise Malta’s vision of becoming a tech centre for innovative technologies, Tech.mt builds its strategy on four main pillars: promotion, innovation, talent and assistance. Through the four pillars’ combined relevance, Tech.mt aims to provide the means through which established local tech organisations can export their technology overseas and by which foreign investors may equally set up new technological ventures in Malta.

Tech.mt also focuses on providing tech students with the opportunity to present and enhance their research. In addition, it supports local tech start-ups.

Its mandate is to seek sectoral growth and assist the technology ecosystem in establishing itself as a leading contributor to Malta’s GDP. Thus, it will have to be instrumental in taking the technology industry to the next level, striving to make the world notice the huge potential the technology sector in Malta has to offer.
