Bank of Valletta has issued a statement to confirm that it has restored its systems and that the disruption of banking services has come to an end. As of yet, it remains unclear as to what specifically caused the issue, which disrupted a variety of services, such as the processing of payment transfers and deposits made through ATMs.

Bank of Valletta is currently experiencing several technical issues. This has impacted the Bank’s digital banking platforms, certain over-the-counter services in the retail network, deposit services through ATMs, card balances as well as payment processing.

BOV’s technical teams are currently undertaking the necessary requirements to reinstate its services.

Further updates will be communicated through the Bank’s website and official social media channels. “The bank apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
