On Thursday 31st January 2025, 86 exceptional graduates from Malta Business School, dressed in their caps and gowns, some with sash, were honoured with certification of their successful achievement of their qualifications.

With courses varying in length from three months to three years, the cohorts boasted an international mix of students, spanning four European countries as well as students from Asia, Africa and South America. Most graduates attended in person, many with their families and loved ones.

The graduates spanned seven diverse programmes. These included, among others, one to two year Business and Management Diplomas, a Top-Up Degree, and the ATHE Level six Certificate in Project Management.

The school was excited to announce its first graduates of the ATHE Level six Certificate in Coaching, which launched in 2024 at Malta Business School. The school also boasted its first graduates of the newly upgraded Level six Bachelor in Business and Management with Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation. The course allows learners to achieve two qualifications, one from Malta Business School, and the other from CMI (UK), within the same timeframe of their three-year bachelor’s degree.

Graduates were grateful for being able to follow courses while maintaining their full-time jobs, some explaining how they had got promotions even while their studies were still ongoing, due to the valuable impact that their assignments left on the companies where they work.

The support received from the school during this time was increasingly valuable. Although balancing life, work and study comes with its challenges, Malta Business School’s support system makes the journey easier for learners to cope with, especially when many also have responsibilities towards their children and families.

As the Dean of the school Lorenzo Mulè Stagno said during his opening speech “we are therefore not just aware of this fact, but the whole essence of the school is based on it.”

This aspect was also highlighted in the student’s speech, where Joseph Cutajar, on behalf of all graduates, expressed his gratitude towards the school, its administration and faculty, for providing high levels of support and guidance that made this day possible for all of them.

The graduation featured an unexpected, touching moment, when the young son of one of the Bachelor graduates bounced up and down near the stage, clapping and shouting “Brava Mami! Brava Mami!”. His excitement and pride in his mother showed the potential of learners to succeed, not only in their careers, but also in keeping up a happy, fulfilled family.

Malta Business School’s motto is Applying Knowledge for Success and this is kept at the forefront of every course that the organisation has been offering and developing since its establishment in 2012.

Before then, the directors of the company had already been offering the Henley Executive MBA since 2008 and professional training for company employees since 2005 under the name Allied Consultants Ltd. With this long-standing experience, Malta Business School’s ethos is strongly based on quality, support and the applicability of knowledge. As the Dean said during his speech, the learning of practical business tools is important, however the school also aims to bring up a certain independence in the individual taking these courses by teaching “how much more important it is that you learn to think for yourself, and to learn how to learn by yourself.

This is the ultimate learning skill, where you can learn anything by yourself, and apply critical thinking skills to assess the quality of what you are reading, seeing, hearing and hence, learning. It is a rare and very valuable skill.”

This was echoed in Joseph Cutajar’s student speech, when he shared that the faculty’s “guidance has not only shaped our understanding of business and management but has also inspired us to become better leaders, thinkers, and contributors to our communities. Your passion for education and your unwavering support made this journey not just possible but meaningful.”
