The Women in Aviation, Marine and Transport (WIAM&T) Awards 2026 brought together nominees, winners, sponsors and partners for an evening recognising achievement and contribution across the industry.

WIAM&T congratulated this year’s award winners:
• Male Ally of the Year: Daniel Galea
• Inclusion and Diversity Team of the Year: Hyperion Aviation
• Leader of the Year: Sarah Zarb
• Educator of the Year: Geraldine Spiteri
• Inspirational High Flyer: Lou Cacciattolo
• Rising Star: Nicole Spiteri
• Member of the Year: Cristina Platania
• Corporate Partner of the Year, chosen by WIAM&T members: easyJet Engineering Malta

“We’re incredibly proud of all the winners and finalists,” said Ruth Sawers, Founder and MD of WIAMT. “The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the talent, commitment and teamwork that help our industry thrive.”

The organisers also thanked Minister for Transport Chris Bonett, for opening the ceremony and to his team for attending the evening. WIAM&T also recognised Clare Agius for her support in helping make the event a success.

Highlights and photographs from the evening will feature in the awards special edition of Momentum Magazine Malta, due at the end of October.
