Central Business Centres plc has completed a €16.75 million bond issue, with its Series 1 Tranche 2 bonds fully subscribed.
The issue comprises €16.75 million of 5.9 per cent unsecured bonds maturing between 2031 and 2036. The bonds were allocated to eligible existing bondholders and authorised intermediaries.
The new bonds are expected to be admitted to the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange on 7th October 2026, with trading scheduled to begin on 8th October.
Proceeds from the issue will be used to redeem CBC’s existing bonds maturing in 2027, finance the acquisition of the Cortis 2 property and settle an outstanding amount related to the acquisition of CBC Mrieħel.
The funds will also support further capital expenditure at CBC Valletta – The Savoy and CBC Mrieħel, as well as general corporate purposes.
CBC owns, develops and leases commercial property in Malta, with properties in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Gudja, St Julian’s, Valletta, Mrieħel and Qormi.
Calamatta Cuschieri Investment Services Limited is acting as sponsor, manager and registrar for the issue.
The company’s board thanked existing bondholders who participated in the issue, as well as the wider investing public and authorised intermediaries involved in the offer.
