As Managing Director and CEO of Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd, Matthew von Brockdorff’s focus has been to look at new ways of working, particularly considering the uncertainty of the future and the ever-changing landscape.

Matthew is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has worked in the industry since 1987. He currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Executive of Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd and Managing Director of Atlas Holdings Ltd, Chairman of Atlas Healthcare Insurance Agency Ltd and a Director of Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Ltd.

He is a former President of the Malta Insurance Association and of the Rotary Club La Valette Malta, and is currently a Board Member of JA Malta and a member of the Board of Governors of Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti.

Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd, the flagship company of the Atlas Group, operates an extensive branch and intermediary network throughout Malta and Gozo. In 2006, the Group extended operations into the international arena by providing protected cell facilities to businesses wishing to write insurance within the EU through its Atlas Insurance PCC cell operations. The Group’s gross insurance premium stands at over €100 million worth of local and international business, a substantial increase over the days of the late 1990s when four family-run insurance agencies made the decision to merge to form Atlas Insurance Agency.
