Before graduating from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Markus Behmann launched his first start-up and started working for an international finance company.

“Later,” he recalls, “I decided to focus on digital marketing and worked in several start-ups, such as Moon Zebra, with several successful exits. Eventually, I returned to Germany and managed over 300 online shops with €600 million+ revenue for Delticom AG.”

He decided to return to Malta in 2017 and go back to studying, graduating with an Executive MBA from the University of Malta.

During that time, Mr Behmann founded VEO Capital, which builds, incubates and invests in technology-centric business concepts in Europe, an example of which is aLIVE Support, a customer support outsourcing company for highly regulated businesses, VEONIO, a digital transformation agency and the upcoming yacht charter and brokerage company called yachting.mt.

In his free time, Mr Behmann volunteers with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malta and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Business Administration.
