With over three decades of experience in the retail industry, Kenneth Frendo has built a career shaped by both challenge and growth. A Chartered Management Consultant, Chartered Manager, and Financial Accountant, Mr Frendo describes himself as someone who brings steadiness, perspective, and integrity to every role.

“As CFO and Company Secretary at TheMillerGroup, I lead the finance and governance functions with a focus on clarity, accountability, and long-term thinking,” Mr Frendo explains. “I work closely with the CEO and board to align strategy with sound governance and responsible business practices. I value straight talk, mutual respect, and creating an environment where people feel supported and heard.”

Resilience has been a consistent thread throughout Mr Frendo’s career – remaining composed in high-pressure situations, adapting without overreacting, and maintaining focus when it matters most. He is also passionate about mentoring, helping others grow into their roles, and promoting a workplace culture that embraces continuous learning.

Outside of work, Mr Frendo prioritises balance. “I believe that looking after your health and wellbeing is key to showing up fully – for your team, your family, and yourself,” Mr Frendo asserts.

He holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, an MBA in Strategic Finance from Brunel University, and diplomas in Corporate Governance and ESG. While committed to lifelong learning, Mr Frendo also values the kind of judgement that only experience – and a measure of humility – can provide.
