As Corporate Communications Coordinator at the Malta Communications Authority, Isabel Collins Fereday was nominated and elected to Co-Chair the Expert Networking Group of Communications for the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC).
Her career in communications spans 20 years having been involved in broadcast TV and media content for museums and exhibitions, her work focusing on her areas of interest, that is, art and technology.
“I am excited at the prospects and challenges that new technologies bring for society and look for new ways of communication, utilising these channels,” Ms Collins Fereday says.
She obtained a BA Hons degree in Media from the University of Westminster, which holds a reputation for new wave thinking. She also holds a Master’s in Innovation and Creativity from the University of Malta where her studies delved into creative communication approaches.
The Malta Communications Authority was established on 1st January 2001 and is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the various electronic communications sectors, including fixed and mobile telephony, internet and TV distribution services. The MCA also regulates postal services and the eCommerce sector.
