With a B. Eng. degree and a Master’s in Integrated Product Development under his belt, David Sciberras admits that his passion for additive manufacturing was ignited at Toly, where he spent two years as an Innovation Engineer under James Attard Kingswell. His time at Toly saw him pushing the 3D printing agenda in projects and investments in technology, which he then led to Invent 3D Ltd.

“I believe that 3D printing is to be the next industrial revolution. 3D printing itself is not innovative, knowing the application is possible is where the innovation lies. That is where I believe we are ahead of the curve. Our applications are pushing mass manufacturing, growing print farms, designer products,” Mr Sciberras says.

Although some see additive manufacturing as just a toy or a prototyping tool, he strongly believes it brings mass customisation to the general consumer, with zero tooling costs and lead time.

A 3D printing and additive manufacturing company, Invent 3D aims to service industries looking to expand in the technology. It strives to remain up to date with the latest trends and advancements in 3D printing, thus being in a position to tailor its technology to a client’s needs and provide the best service at the best price.
