The St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation has announced the appointment of Mark Mallia as its new President, effective 1st August 2025.
Dr Mallia, who also serves as Head of Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister, said it was a privilege to take on this role and contribute to the Foundation’s ongoing work.
He had previously served as CEO at Identità for two years, following a 25-year career in the Maltese Armed Forces.
During his long service, Dr Mallia held the role of Deputy Commander and Head of Human Resources Management, and previously served as Senior Aide de Camp to the President of Malta.
He also holds a Masters in Advocacy and an Executive MBA.
He expressed his commitment to supporting upcoming projects aimed at further strengthening the Co-Cathedral’s role as both a sacred space and a national cultural landmark.
The Foundation extended a warm welcome to Dr Mallia and wished him success in his new role. It also expressed its gratitude to Emmanuel Agius for his dedicated service and leadership during the past year of his presidency.
