Brian-Alex Mizzi, Assistant Head at Luqa’s St Ignatius College Primary School, has passed away.
The announcement was made by the school on Monday (today) afternoon, with the team being “deeply shocked and very much saddened by the news.”
“Whilst asking you to join us in our prayers, we convey our deepest condolences to his family, staff and students whom he loved so dearly. Lord grant him eternal rest,” the school stated.
It added that the Office of the Head of College Network together with the Department for Educational Services are assisting the school to the best they can.
The news of his passing was met by many messages online, with a number of people, from loved ones to friends and colleagues, taking to social media to express their condolences and share the memories they had with Mr Mizzi.
“You were an amazing person who always saw the best in people and you were always there for your students working on their strengths and always staying positive,” one individual said.
Others described him as a “true gentleman” and a “great friend.”
