Local Fintech company Fyorin, a business banking eco-system startup facilitating business banking for SMEs and Financial Institutions, was recognised as the Best Tech Start-up at this year’s iteration of the Malta eBusiness Awards.

The awards, organised by Tech.mt, a public-private partnership between the Malta Government and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, aim to acknowledge unique and innovative ideas and initiatives in the use of web-based technologies and eBusiness.

Fyorin’s Co-Founder, Christian Joseph Agius, celebrated the company’s winning of the award on social media, saying he was “so proud of the team we’ve built so far.”

"Fyorin was born out of its founders' experience around business banking, both from an SME and Financial Institution perspective, as they were working on scaling up other online businesses globally across various industries," he said.

“In a world where digitalisation is moving forward at a fast pace, there is an increased demand for swift, flexible and frictionless banking capabilities,” he added.

It’s been a promising year for Fyorin, which in July participated in the Pitchora start-up competition, coming in third out of 42 competing start-ups.
