APS Bank continues to strengthen its Senior Management team with a number of appointments, completing its management line reporting into the Bank's Executive Committee.

Dorianne Tabone has been appointed Head of Regulatory Compliance. She has worked in banking and fund management since 2006, mainly in areas of investment, compliance and risk management.

She joined APS Bank plc in 2019, specifically with the wholly owned subsidiary ReAPS Asset Management Limited. Ms Tabone holds a B.Com. (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance (2004) and a M.A. in Economics (2007), both from the University of Malta.

Liana DeBattista has been appointed the Head of Strategy and Propositions, where she is responsible for Strategy, Proposition Development and Customer Intelligence. She joined APS Bank in 2003 and worked in most areas of the bank.

Ms DeBattista has a B.Sc. in Business and Computing (2001) and a B.Com (Hons) in Management (2002), both from the University of Malta, and a First Class M.Sc. in Corporate Finance from the University of Liverpool (2015).

Elaine Calleja has been appointed Head of Career Development, responsible for training and talent development. She joined APS Bank in 2000 and worked initially in IT project management before moving into human resources in 2002.

Ms Calleja holds a Certificate in Banking (2000), Diploma in Management from Maastricht University (2004) and an M.B.A. in General Management from the University of Leicester (2010).

Kenneth Azzopardi has been appointed Head of Human Capital. His career started at ST Microelectronics in 1989 as Senior Technician, before moving to Human Resources in 2005.

He joined APS Bank in 2008 continuing in various human resources roles. Mr Azzopardi has a B.Sc. in Business and Computing (2002), a B.Com (Hons) in Management (2003) and an M.B.A. in General Management, all from the University of Malta.

Simon Micallef is the Head of Customer Profiling. His 31-year career included senior consultancy roles in the Public Service, with the last 20 years at APS Bank in positions including Human Resources, as General Manager of APS Consult Limited and recently Senior Compliance Manager. Mr Micallef holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Business Management from the University of Malta and an M.B.A. from the Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands (2002).

James Baldacchino joined APS Bank recently as Head of Marketing. His previous career experiences were as Brand Manager at Vodafone Malta (since 2015), Fondazzjoni Kreattivitá (2014), JP Advertising (2011) and Malta International Airport (2008).

Mr Baldacchino graduated B.A. (Hons) in Tourism Studies from the University of Malta in 2007 and with Distinction from Squared Online, Hamburg in 2017.
