Sean Gravina has announced that he has taken on the role of General Manager at IT Malta.

The announcement comes just weeks after Mr Gravina revealed that he had officially parted ways with Crust, the popular restaurant he founded and helped build over more than a decade. At the time, he said that his departure led to a number of job offers.

"My first thought was to take a few months off, spend more time with my family, recharge, and enjoy life for a while,” he wrote on his social platform yesterday.

However, at 39 years old, Mr Gravina says he has always “believed in having a healthy work-life balance,” but also loves working. In particular, he enjoys “building teams, solving problems, creating experiences, and taking on challenges.”

Reflecting on his new role, he admitted that it “hasn’t been easy,” but added that “that’s exactly what makes it rewarding.”

Since joining IT Malta, Mr Gravina says the business has introduced a new menu, refreshed its marketing, brought in new promoters, and launched new events. “There’s still so much more to come. Most importantly, we’re building momentum,” he said.

"You can’t change everything overnight. First you listen. You learn. You understand the business. Then you build."

Concluding his post, Mr Gravina said that after more than two decades in hospitality, he still gets excited “by the opportunity to create something better than it was yesterday.”
