Salvatore Ellul Bonici on Friday announced that he has been named Head of Executive Operations at db Group Malta.

His new position comes just six months after he first joined the hospitality group, having been appointed Personal Assistant to the Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) in January.

db Group, founded by Silvio Debono, has grown from a family-run business to a key player in Malta’s tourism, hospitality and leisure sector. In 2023, majority ownership of the holding company SD Holdings was transferred to his four children, Robert Debono, Victoria Debono, Alan Debono, and David Debono.

Prior to his time at db Group, Mr Ellul Bonici served as Executive Assistant at DGTAL for two years and was also Executive Assistant to the Board of Directors at Gossmann & Cie. Group, both companies based in Hamburg, Germany.

He also had stints working as Customer Service Specialist in the banking sector as well as Office Manager at A. Falzon Energy Projects.

Mr Ellul Bonici was also Head of Office and Local Assistant for Member of European Parliament David Casa for several years.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Sociology from University of Malta.
