Rebecca Iversen has joined the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU as Attaché for telecommunications and digital affairs.

Before joining the Permanent Representation, Dr Iversen worked as a trainee at the European Parliament. She also previously worked at a law firm in Malta, where she gained experience in areas including data protection and EU law.

In a LinkedIn post, Dr Iversen said that in the first month since joining the Permanent Representation, she visited Dublin as Ireland commenced its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

“It was a pleasure to meet fellow attachés and colleagues from across the Member States to exchange perspectives on the many upcoming digital and telecommunications files,” she wrote.

Dr Iversen graduated with a Master of Advocacy in 2024 and has held legal positions at Ganado Advocates, GWM Group and Fenech and Fenech Advocates before transitioning her career at EU level.
