Microbiologist Professor Paul Cuschieri has passed away at the age of 78.
In a social media post, the Chamber of Pharmacists said it had “lost one of our legendary past lecturers.”
“Prof. Cuschieri was a true gentleman with high professional and ethical standards. He left an incredible mark on our profession and on Malta’s healthcare, academic and microbiology laboratory legacy,” the Chamber wrote.
Prof. Cuschieri dedicated more than five decades of his life to medicine and the service of others.
He was married to Carmen and had five children.
The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, 18th September, and proceed to Gżira Parish Church, where a Mass celebrating his life will be held at 8:30am.
